But of course, there are always options.

Aside from joining some psycho-cyber-sputnik
outfit where neon wigs are de rigueur, you
could always get an expensive weave-transplant
contraption, although I think that some celebs
have better weaves than others.

E.g., you simply wouldn't know that Jimmy White
(UK snooker player) had had any work done.
Seriously. Whoever's responsible for that, is
a fucking genious.

Gary Numan, on the other hand, is different
matter. There is always something incongruous
about his fringe - it sort of looks a bit too
asymetrical for its own good. Overly wonky.

Male hairloss is normally attributable
to testosterone, of course. Now, supposing you
(Carl) were told that, by having 'the snip' during
your teenage years you would effectively avert
baldness, testicular cancer etc., although, the
chances of reversing the operation once you
felt ready to have children (and too old to care
about your hair) are (I think) 70/80%, would
you have it done.

Me, I say yes. Partial baldness is genetically
guarenteed for me, but meeting some poor women
who's eager enough to mother my children ain't -
not be a long way, not if the last two doom-
infested relationships are anything to go by.

Carl...it ain't nothing chopping the hair off.

After I had long hair down to my waist for like 5yrs...it ws just too much hassle and lots of time to keep it healthy. One day I got outta the shower was putting conditioner...and I though...What the FRICK....grabbed some scissors and cut my own hair off...haha. Man...what a relief it was.
So, It's no big deal man...just chop that hair off and believe me it'll be all good.
Though be sure to have someone hold your head up, cuz due to the waight of the hair...after chopping your head is so light ya neck can't hold it up...LMFAO!!!

<font size="3" face="Arial">The loss of the length is nothing man. It is all the pain of realizing that I really have no options of what to do with the stuff. My wife sat there going to websites trying to find a nice new 'do for me. I had to explain to her that there is no real choice in styles. I have a choice of long donut, short donut, super short donut, or no donut at all. I am going with the short donut, ala Ed Harris. I can't do the full bald thing, as I don't play basketball and I don't like Nu Metal. You are one of the lucky folk Raggz that looks like you will be able to do the long, cut it off into a cool style, then grow it back later. I don't have that option. This move today is the permanent move. It's scary, but I also look forward to showers taking less than 5 minutes (when I am alone...ahem), Not having to hold my hair when I drive with the windows open, not having to worry about my hat blowing away on a windy day (I do go to Chicago numerous times during the summer), and many other advantages. I don't look forward to it as it has been with me my whole life, and if it wasn't for God and his choice in how he plans to make me humble, I would never cut it off.

Darren, I would never pay for my hair. I love hair, but I also love movies, music, models, sculpting (trying to do it again), toys, food, my car, gas for my car, my house, stuff for my kids, etc., etc. etc. I have seen the prices for professional hair, and for transplanting the hair off my ass onto my head, and I would have to sacrifice everything else that might cost money.

It's all cool though, I am actually looking a bit forward to this! Buying me a new pair of Chuck Taylors to go along with it tonight also, BTW. Red ones to match my sons! LOL!!! Though his are REAL tiny.

LOL! I have thought about the Rogaine aspect, but that is a life long commitment. Hell, I have a hard enough time having to deal with blood pressure meds everyday for the rest of my life! If something that is designed to keep me alive and in good health is a pain to take, something strictly for vanity is a defintite "no no" for me! LOL!!!

When it first hit the market in non-prescription 10 years ago, I gave it a whirl for a few months. Nothing happened, so I gave up. My Pop-In-Law is a pharmacist, so I got a little discount on it.

Welp, in about 10 minutes I leave work, go out to dinner, and then kiss it goodbye. *sigh*

Sorry to be so self-obsessed these past 24 hours, but it is really hard to believe I am finally doing this. Ach, the stuff is so scraggly looking nowdays, it is for it's own good, really.

Well, take care all. Wish me luck. Not that any of you will ever know the difference! LOL!!! Though, maybe this will take away all my powers. Who knows?
